How You Might Get a Warrant

Unfortunately, you may not even know there is a warrant for your arrest until it is too late. That is why it is important to perform a warrant check.
You do not have to be suspected of criminal activity to be issued a warrant. Bench warrants—which are issued by a judge—may be ordered for many different reasons, including excessive parking fines, and failing to obey a court order. However, the most common reason for receiving a bench warrant is failure to appear for a scheduled court date.
